The Ruhr-University in Bochum, Germany, occasionally offers summer research fellowships to SLU LAW students and new law faculty for a period of up to three months. SLU LAW students and new faculty interested in this fellowship must have sufficient command of the German language in order to conduct research in German. The fellowships, which the Organization for the Promotion of Legal Science in Bochum provides, pay the cost of round-trip travel from St. Louis to Bochum. In addition, the fellowship may include a stipend to supplement the applicant's income. Students are encouraged to develop their research plan in consultation with a member of the SLU LAW faculty.
