Wireless Configuration for Mac OS X (10.5+) I. System Requirements Verification • You must have Mac OS X 10.5. II. Configuring Your System • From the desktop, click on the Airport icon in the top right corner.
• Select the + below the Preferred Networks box
• Fill out the form that pops up so that it matches the one seen below and select Add. User Name: Your e-mail address without the @slu.edu. Password: Your banner/slunet password.
• Select OK at the bottom of the Advanced pane
• Select Continue and you will be prompted to enter your administrator password. Enter the password and select OK You should be connected to the wireless network. If you still cannot connect, then you may have entered the wrong password. Try logging into a public workstation or try logging in to MySLU on any computer with Internet access. The password you use to login to both of these is the same as the password for your wireless connection. If unable to login to either you can a) go to http://password.slu.edu and click on “Forgot Password?” or b) call the Main ITS Service Desk in Des Peres Hall at (314) 977-4000. Still not connected? After verifying all the above steps, please stop by the ITS Help Desk located in the main law school computer lab, room 246. |
