The Center for Health Law Studies is proud to have hosted Clifford Barnes as the 2004-2005 annual Practitioner in Residence. Mr. Barnes is a member of Epstein Becker & Green's National Health Law Practice in Washington, D.C. While he was visiting the School of Law, Barnes hosted student roundtables to discuss law practice issues, served as the Guest of Honor at the Health Law Association Coffee Reception, taught classes, and gave a presentation to the local Saint Louis Area Health Lawyers Association.
Barnes specializes in representing Medicaid Managed Care companies. His interest areas are Health Care Transactions, Medicaid, Managed Care and Integrated Delivery Systems. He is currently a member of the Mayor's Health Policy Counsel in the District of Columbia and the Board of the Green Door. Barnes received a B.B.A. from Pace University, a M.B.A. in Hospital Administration, from Cornell University, and a J.D. from the University of Virginia.
