Events Randy Grim of Stray Rescue and Quentin "the miracle dog" who survived the gas chamber gave an inspiring presentation of how one man and one dog can make such a difference in creating laws that will protect animals from abuse, neglect, and suffering from the results of overpopulation. Our first Bake Sale/Raffle raised over $200 for charity. The proceeds were donated to “Partners for Pets,” a local animal rescue foundation.
We Co-Sponsored a trip with the Environmental Law Society to the Wild Canid Survival and Research Center.
At our last semester meeting, we hosted Ledy Van Kavage, a former SLU Law graduate and attorney with the ASPCA. She gave an informative and inspirational speech about animal advocacy, the prosecution of animal abuse, and lobbying for animal welfare. Our End of the Year Social/Barbecue was held Saturday, April 28th at Tower Grove Park. People and pets alike had a great time. |
