SBA Barrister's Ball
The SBA's annual Barrister's Ball will take place at Windows Off Washigton. Cocktails begin at 7 p.m., and the sit-down dinner starts at 8 p.m., followed by dancing until midnight with music provided by the UltraViolets.
The SBA has extended a special invitation to all members of the faculty and administration and their guests to attend a complimentary cocktail hour from 7 to 8 p.m. Should you and your guest wish to stay for dinner at 8 p.m., tickets may be purchased from the SBA for $40 each. The Dubliner will be hosting the Barrister's Ball After Party with drink specials. The orange wristbands placed on your dinner table will get you $3 beer and $5 cocktails from midnight until 3 a.m. Please contact rparke11@slu.edu.

Election Year Activities and Tax Exempt Organizations
Because 2008 is an election year and there is the possibility that the law school may be asked by or may solicit candidates for public office to come speak to students, the information on the IRS web site will be helpful with respect to the University's responsibilites as a tax exempt organization.

SBA Meeting
The SBA will have its first meeting of the semester on Tuesday, Jan. 22. Lunch will be provided. All student organizations are encouraged to have a representative at the event, and all students are welcome.

Please help us welcome Mr. Mark Lamping, president of the St. Louis Cardinals, at the first meeting of the semester. We will also be detailing more plans for the Super Bowl Party, which is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 3. There will be free food and beer and door prizes at the party. Friends and family are welcome.

WLSA Networking Event
The Women Law Students' Association will host a Networking Event on

Weekly Mass
A weekly mass takes place on Tuesdays. All are welcome to attend this half-hour prayer opportunity. In addition, Campus Ministry sponsors a variety of communal prayer experiences throughout the academic year, including periodic interfaith prayer services.

Prayer Room
Don’t forget about the Prayer Room next to the Campus Ministry office. It is open and available as a quiet place of reflection (and refuge!) whenever the School of Law building is open.
