Volunteers Needed for Galleria Gift Wrap Fundraiser

Habitat for Humanity St. Louis has partnered with the GGP Companies,
which owns the Galleria, to run the Galleria’s Gift Wrap as a fundraiser this holiday season. Part of this revenue will help out Habitat families throughout the holidays. Habitat for Humanity is looking for groups that may be interested in "adopting" a day or half-day to staff the gift wrap. Each group that adopts a day would be responsible for staffing the event. Currently, the available days are Dec. 23 and 24. To adopt your day or half-day, contact Joshua Palacios at 314-371-0400 or joshua@habitatstl.org.

Volunteers Needed for Tax Assistance Program

Students and faculty are encouraged to volunteer for the St. Louis Tax
Assistance Program, in which volunteers help low-income families prepare tax returns to maximize their refunds and Earned Income Credit. Volunteers will work at least two Saturdays during tax season in a variety of jobs. Those who participate in the training sessions in early January will be helping complete returns. Others who do not attend the training can still help as greeters or in other positions. The training will take place on Jan. 12 and 19, so it is important to sign up as soon as possible.

For more information and to sign up as a volunteer, go to www.stlouistap.org, or contact John Ammann at 977-2796.
