Annual 5k Run and 3k Walk Registration Begins
Join lawyers, law students and friends of public interest for a run to benefit the Summer Fellowship Fund. Registration is from Noon-1 and 5-6 p.m.everyday from Sept.19 through 28. Registration includes race day t-shirt, food and entry into a drawing for prizes donated by LexisNexis and Westlaw (drawing open only to SLU law students)

Constitution Day Discussion
On Monday, September 17, the School of Law will celebrate Constitution Day with a discussion of recent developments in constitutional law being organized by Prof. Goldstein, together with Prof. Bloom. All students are encouraged to attend and see the strength of our faculty in consitutional law!

Talk on Private-Sector Courts & a Market for Law: Libertarian Fantasy or Growing Reality?
Stephen J. Ware, Professor of Law at the University of Kansas, will be giving the talk, "Private-Sector Courts & a Market for Law: Libertarian Fantasy or Growing Reality?" Ware is the author of the Hornbook on Alternative Dispute Resolution (West 2001), and dozens of articles in both scholarly and popular journals. A versatile teacher, he has taught at six law schools including the University of Kansas, the College of William & Mary, the Ohio State University, the University of Alabama, Hamline University and Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where he was a faculty member for ten years. In addition to teaching a wide variety of law school courses, Professor Ware is a frequent speaker at academic conferences and Continuing Legal Education programs from coast-to-coast.

1L Directory is Now Available

Note: By Friday, September 14, all first-year students, transfers, exchange and International LL.M. students are required to register for access to the 1L directories, past exams and outlines. For this purpose, several computers have been set up in various locations in the law school. Note: you MUST register at one of these computers.

The 3rd Floor Hallway of Morrissey Hall (there are two computers available)
The Reading Room in the Omer Poos Library (there are two computers available)
The Computer Lab, Rm. 246 in the Omer Poos Library (there are three laptops available)
To register, you must log in to the computer with you SLUnetID and the password slulaw2007. The computer will promote you to change your password. Select YES. Make sure you new password is the same password as you would login into Banner. Click OK and then log out. Instructions will be available at each computer.
After September 14, this generic password and other generic passwords will no longer work.

Student Mailboxes
If you haven’t been assigned a mailbox yet, there’s a reason. The labels for the mailboxes have been on back-order for the past three weeks and we anticipate receiving them soon. American Constitution Society Guest Speaker
