Submissions due by Wednesdays @ 1 p.m. International and Comparative Law Speaker Series Speaker Professor Javier Martinez-Torron Health Law Distinguished Speaker Timothy Westmoreland Professor Westmoreland holds academic posts in law and public policy at Georgetown University and was recently named Senior Scholar of the Georgetown Health Law Insititute. He served as counsel to the Subcommittee on Health and the Environment in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1979 to 1995. He taught in the Georgetown Law Center's Federal Legislation Clinic and was counsel to the Koop-Kessler Advisory Committee on Tobacco Policy and Public Health. He was also senior adviser on HIV/AIDS to the Kaiser Family Foundation and lobbied for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. From 1999 to 2001, he was the director of the federal Medicaid program. At Georgetown he teaches about health law, federal budget policy, and legislation and statutory interpretation. He is a recipient of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Investigator in Health Policy Research Award. WLSA Meeting Lynn Ricci will be speaking about women in family law. Weekly Mass A weekly mass takes place on Tuesdays. All are welcome to attend this half-hour prayer opportunity. In addition, Campus Ministry sponsors a variety of communal prayer experiences throughout the academic year, including periodic interfaith prayer services.
