From the Director
On behalf of the entire staff of the Saint Louis University
School of Law Library, I would like to welcome you to our web page.
The Omer Poos Law Library is a research collection of some 600,000
volumes with significant holdings in federal and state law as well
as strong foreign collections in Polish and Irish law and collections
that support the schools three Centers of Excellence: Health Law
Studies, Employment Law, and the Center for International and Comparative
Law.
In addition to our print collections, we have an array
of electronic resources for your use, a wireless environment, as
well as connections at carrels and tables for laptop computer use.
Our newly designed web site is a combined effort of many
members of our staff and it provides the primary gateway to all sorts
of legal information including databases, the catalog, information
about the library, and library maps. Additionally, it contains an
array of non-legal information for the prospective student or visitor
about the city, law school, and University.
The site is a dynamic site and I invite you to check
it often for important developments, not only regarding the library,
but also for legal news and information.
Please feel free to contact me with questions about the
library or suggestions about our web site. If you are a current member
of the law school community, we trust you will find this site more
navigable and informational. If you are a prospective student, we
hope this page will give you a flavor of what you can expect from
our library.
So, from the Gateway to the West, welcome to our gateway
to information!
