Symposium

The annual Symposium issue focuses on a timely topic of legal interest, and the University has begun the tradition of an annual law conference that the Symposium issue memorializes. The Journal has dedicated its Volume 52, No. 1 (2007) Symposium issue to the life and memory of Senator Thomas Eagleton. The issue commemorates Senator Eagleton’s 50 years of celebrated public service, containing memorials and articles by his friends, colleagues and admirers.

The Journal’s Volume 53 Symposium issue will contain articles from the March 7, 2008, law conference at Saint Louis University, which was hosted by the Center for International and Comparative Law in tandem with the Journal. The topic of the conference was The Use and Misuse of History in U.S. Foreign Relations Law. Video of the main lectures and panel discussions is available here.

Next Spring’s Symposium will be hosted by the Saint Louis University School of Law’s William C. Wefel Center for Employment Law. Articles from this conference will appear in Volume 54 of the Journal.

Prior to Volume 52, the Journal published the Symposium issue as the “Health Law Symposium,” in connection with the annual Health Law Symposium event at Saint Louis University School of Law. This issue is now published by the Saint Louis University Journal of Health Law & Policy.
