Hooding Ceremony Location

THE HOODING CEREMONY will be held Thursday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at Powell Symphony Hall. You must arrive at Powell Hall by 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 17. Please enter the hall through the doors on Delmar. Once you enter the building, ushers will direct you to the upper floor hallway where Law School staff members will assist you. We ask that you refrain from visiting with family and friends at this time. Also, please be aware that organizing over 200 students for the procession into the hall takes some time so be sure to arrive at 5:00 pm sharp. The University's Commencement will be held Saturday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at the Scottrade Center. The Hooding Ceremony is held for January, May and August 2007 graduates of the School of Law. 

At this event, you will have your name announced, walk on stage and will be hooded by a faculty member. A champagne reception will immediately follow at Busch Student center. Commencement is the ceremony held for all graduates of the University. Diplomas will be handed out after the Commencement ceremony. Graduates who do not attend Commencement will receive their diploma by mail.

Parking is available in both of the University parking garages,
one at the corner of Grand Blvd. and Laclede Ave.
(one block south of St. Francis Xavier church),
and the other at the corner of Compton Ave. and Olive St.
(two blocks east of the St. Francis Xavier church).
