Moot Court Competition
The Health Law Moot Court course allows students to develop appellate advocacy skills in the area of health law. Each year, a select group of health law students represent the Center for Health Law Studies at The National Health Law Moot Court Competition. In teams of two or three, students prepare written briefs and oral arguments on a hypothetical case developed by the competition’s sponsor. Examples of previous issues include the constitutionality of involuntary HIV testing, a pharmacist’s right to refuse to dispense contraceptives and withdrawal of artificial nutrition at the end of life.
