Speakers and Programs Overview

At the Center, we believe that classroom education is only part of the learning process. In order to give our students the strongest health law background possible, the Center supports programs throughout the academic year. While many of our students take advantage of these programs, they are not for students only. The programs are free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. These programs include our annual Practitioner in Residence Program, our Annual Health Law Symposium, and our Distinguished Speakers Series.

In addition to serving students, the Center also hosts an annual program to serve faculty members new to health law and bioethics scholarship. The Health Law Scholars Workshop, co-sponsored with the American Society of Law Medicine & Ethics, encourages health and bioethics scholarship, fosters the professional development of emerging scholars, and furthers a sense of community among health law academics.
