What area of health law most interests you and why? An area of health law that interests me is antitrust issues and physician ownership of facilities because of the benefits competition creates for consumers. I am also interested in federal health policies, legislation, and regulations.
What do you hope to achieve through the study and/or practice of health law? I hope to gain a better understanding of health law and the federal policies that impact our nation so that I can effectively apply it in the future because it is a field that can quickly change.
What has been your favorite health law class and why? As a 1L, my favorite class was Constitutional law because it was interesting to discover the impact the Court has on so many aspects of the Federal government. As an undergrad, I took Bioethics and Regulations of the Human Body, which examined many philosophical questions concerning an individual's personal freedoms and had an immense impact on my decision to study health law.
What is your favorite thing about SLU’s health law program? The faculty and wide array of Health law courses and seminars.
