What area of health law most interests you and why? Right now I’m fascinated by the breadth of the field both in terms of the various areas of law encompassed and the number of people it concerns. Everyone is affected in some way by health law.
What do you hope to achieve through the study and/or practice of health law? I hope to find a niche in health law that is both rewarding and challenging and where I can make an impact.
What has been your favorite health law class and why? So far, Comparative Health Law has been my favorite class. Amazing location aside (Berlin), it provided a global context for the issues facing health law in America.
What is your favorite thing about SLU’s health law program? The members of the faculty are extremely knowledgeable and accessible, creating a community that fosters student inquiry and growth.
Who was the best speaker you’ve heard speak, what did they speak on, and why were they the best? Oliver Sacks shared insight on the patients he wrote about in The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat. He presented the human side of neurological disorders that textbooks do not cover.
