What area of health law most interests you and why? Health law litigation, particularly special issues faced by hospitals and physician groups, is a challenging and interesting field in which I look forward to becoming involved.

What do you hope to achieve through the study and/or practice of health law? Through the health law program, I am hoping to gain a broad knowledge of rules and regulations with which hospitals and physicians’ groups must comply so that I will be better equipped when I go into private practice.

What has been your favorite health law class and why? I am currently taking Fraud and Abuse, which is taught by a local attorney. We use real-life problems to learn the regulations, which would otherwise be difficult and too daunting to grasp. The class is also small and great for discussions.

What is your favorite thing about SLU’s health law program? My favorite thing about the program by far is the faculty. The professors have such varied backgrounds and offer a variety of perspectives on issues, whether you are looking for career possibilities or paper topics.
