What area of health law most interests you and why? I am currently enjoying an introduction to the broad scope of health law in the Health Law survey course. I have a background in clinical and laboratory research, but I am looking forward to learning about the various health law subspecialties.
What do you hope to achieve through the study and/or practice of health law? I hope to be able to apply my interests in medicine, science and the law to practical problems and work to develop solutions that are helpful to people and that produce tangible results.
What has been your favorite health law class and why? My favorite law school class has been Legal Research and Writing. I enjoyed learning how to navigate the different types of print and online sources and develop a writing style that is efficient and effective.
What is your favorite thing about SLU’s health law program? The friendly and knowledgeable faculty and staff.
Who was the best speaker you’ve heard speak, what did they speak on, and why were they the best? Thomas Friedman, op-ed columnist for The New York Times, gave the commencement address at my undergraduate graduation. He spoke about the globalization of our economy and the challenges posed to us as people entering the workforce, and he shared poignant and humorous anecdotes.
