What area of health law most interests you and why? This summer I worked primarily in the food and drug area of health law, and I really enjoyed it. It allowed me to combine my interest in chemistry with my interest in health law. I also enjoyed the regulatory aspect of this area of law.
What do you hope to achieve through the study and/or practice of health law? Working in the insurance industry before coming to law school, I was exposed to the increasing problem of the uninsured. I hope that through my studies in health law I am able to learn more about the problem and thereby help in whatever way possible to decrease the number of uninsured in the United States.
What has been your favorite health law class and why? My favorite health law class was Bioethics. The subject matter allowed for great discussions.
What is your favorite thing about SLU’s health law program? The distinguished speaker series affords students the opportunity to learn from some of the leading people in the health care industry.
