I. STUDENT SERVICES

  1. Career Services

The Office of Career Services serves the career needs of current law students and graduates. The office is staffed by four full-time professionals, three of whom are licensed attorneys and one of whom is a National Certified Career Counselor. Additionally, the office has a full-time assistant. Programs are offered throughout the school year to explore traditional and non-traditional career paths. Individual assistance is also available with career counseling, resume writing and interviewing techniques. Students are encouraged to meet with the Career Services professionals early in their law school career and to utilize the Career Services Library for job search information, locally and nationally in both the private and public sectors. The Career Services Office also coordinates on-campus interviewing for students and participates in several job fairs throughout the country. An on-line listing of jobs for both students and alumni is maintained by the office on the Career Services web page at http://law.slu.edu/CareerSvcs/results.asp. Job postings are also maintained in the Career Services Office.

This exception does not represent a change in the equal opportunity policies of the University, the School of Law or the Association of American Law Schools. The policy is stated below:

Saint Louis University School of Law is committed to a Policy of Equal Opportunity for all students and graduates, as required by various state and federal statues, University, and School of Law policies, the Standards of the American Bar Association and the By-Laws of the Association of American Law Schools. Only those employers whose practices are in agreement with the following statement of equal opportunity may use the facilities and services of the School of Law Career Services Office:

The programs of Saint Louis University are open to all without regard to race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status.
