Bar Loans

These loans are available to students who will graduate from an ABA accredited law school and are preparing for the bar exam. Students must have a good credit history or a credit worthy co-signer.

These loans typically have no fees, a variable interest rate and allow students to borrow up to $15,000. Not all lenders offer Bar loans, so students may have to choose a lender different from their usual lender. When searching for Bar loan lenders, research thoroughly. If any questions arise, please contact the lender or the Financial Aid Coordinator.

Students will apply online on the lender’s website. Students are able to choose specific disbursement dates to fit their needs. Students should notify the Financial Aid Coordinator once the loan application has been approved for credit.
