Christine E. Rollins Faculty Listing

Director, Legal Research and Writing

Professor Christine Rollins serves as the Director of Legal Research and Writing at SLU LAW. Recently, Professor Rollins implemented a unique teaching program that assists professors in their teaching based on their students’ learning style. It was because of this program that Professor Rollins and SLU LAW was sited by The National Jurist as being named one of the “Most Innovative Law Schools.”

After earning her J.D. at SLU LAW, Rollins clerked for the Honorable Judge Paul Simon on the Missouri Court of Appeals. From there she went to work for the Girl Scout Council of Greater St. Louis as a risk management specialist. Her responsibilities included managing a $1.3 million budget, writing policies, procedures and marketing plans and overseeing 1,500 acres of property.

Professor Rollins eventually left the council to enter private practice as a risk management consultant for non-profit organizations, which included various Girl Scout Councils and Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. She returned to SLU LAW in 2002 to teach Legal Research and Writing.

In addition to her academic duties, Rollins has successfully argued before the Missouri Court of Appeals-Eastern District and the Supreme Court of Missouri.

A firm believer in giving back to the community, Rollins is the chair of the Supervisory Committee for the American Red Cross and volunteers for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.
