Dr. Ananth Seetharaman serves as the chairperson of the department of accounting in the John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University. During his tenure as the chairperson, the undergraduate accounting program gained national recognition as one of the top-50 accounting programs in the nation. Currently, Seetharaman is leading an initiative by the department to gain separate AACSB accounting accreditation, the gold standard for universities that offer accounting degree programs. Seetharaman’s principal teaching interests are in income taxation and managerial accounting. He has taught courses at the undergraduate, Master of Accounting, and MBA levels. He has two teaching awards, including the Beta Alpha Psi teaching award from Saint Louis University.
Mr. Neil Jansen is an assistant professor of accounting in the John Cook School of Business, and serves as the director of the Master of Accounting Program. Jansen is a registered CPA in the state of Illinois who joined the SLU faculty in 2008 after working for 15 years in the financial services industry.
