Economic Regulations General Advice The curriculum offers a number of courses dealing with various types of economic regulation. Students who expect to represent clients engaged in almost any kind of commercial or industrial activity should find some of these courses, such as Antitrust, Insurance, Products Liability, of interest. Students who anticipate practices which specialize in representing particular industries, such as public utilities and financial institutions, should find other courses essential, including Banking Regulation and Transactions, Regulated Industries, Electronic Media, Health Care Financing and Business Planning. Additionally, many of these course offerings should be of interest to students who look to work in the public sector as elected officials or in staff or agency positions. Because much economic regulation is implemented by administrative agencies pursuant to complex statutes, a firm grounding in Administrative Law is of particular importance.
