Planning Time Line - 3rd Year

SUMMER BEFORE

  • Analyze your job campaign strategy and allocate time to various methods, remembering that referral and direct application yield the best results.
  • If planning to seek employment in another city, begin research.
  • Maintain a professional message on your answering machine.

FALL/SPRING SEMESTERS

  • Meet with someone in the Career Services Office to make the staff aware of your interests.
  • Continue to check the job board.
  • Attend career-oriented programs.
  • Consider volunteer work to gain experience in an area of interest.
  • Determine where you plan to take the bar. Complete registration materials!
  • Make plans to take a bar review course.
  • Complete the Career Services employment survey.

JUST BEFORE GRADUATION

  • Update employment information in the Career Services Office (employment, address, phone, interest areas).
  • If searching for employment, leave current resumes on file with the Office.
  • Make sure you know how to access posted jobs on the Career Services Web site.
