Four Part Etiquette Series

"Polish Your Professional Presence" is a four-part etiquette series presented by Anne Hensley. The schedule of programs, on four consecutive Fridays in Rm. 04, is as follows:

Professional Networking: Friday, September 14, Noon - 1p.m. Making an entrance, name tags, introductions, business cards, small talk. Social functions - guest etiquette, toasting, thank you notes

Dining Etiquette:- 80% of 2nd Interviews Involve a Business Meal
Friday, September 21, Noon - 2p.m.
Lunch to be catered by Chartwells (Attendance at two previous programs required, plus a possible minimal fee).

Pizza will be provided at the first three programs.

Career Services Thursday at Noon Programming

Thursday, Sept. 13 - FBI Career Opportunities
Thursday, Sept. 20 - Presidential Management Fellowship
Thursday, Sept. 27 - 2L Timeline Meeting (Timeline planning for Bar Exam, Job search, etc.)

All Programs will be held in Rm. 04 at Noon. Pizza will be provided.

Students can view those employers who are coming on campus and what the various criteria are on e-attorney. Please also watch for emails from the Career Services Office for updates and reminders. If you need your e-attorney login and password, please contact the Career Services Office.

Department of Justice Honors Program

All applications for the Department of Justice Honors Program are available online at http://www.usdoj.gov/oarm/arm/hp/hp.htm. The deadline for receipt of electronic applications is Midnight, Eastern Time, Monday, September 17, 2007. Due to the volume of applications submitted just prior to the deadline, you are encouraged, to apply early, if possible.

Equal Justice Works Fellowship Program

The Equal Justice Works Fellowships Program provides financial and other forms of support to lawyers working on innovative legal projects throughout the U.S. The two-year Fellowships offer salary (up to $37,500 annually) and generous loan repayment assistance, a national training and leadership development program, and other forms of support during the term of the Fellowship. A list of likely funding locations and issues for the upcoming competition can be found at: http://www.equaljusticeworks.org/fellows/info.php#A4. This list is not exhaustive, as some funding partners do not express specific preferences, and it will be updated on an ongoing basis in the coming weeks as any additional funders commit. The 2008 Equal Justice Works Fellowships online application can be accessed at http://www.equaljusticeworks.org/fellows/2008fellow.php. You may review the application form by creating a profile and an application name. The deadline is 5pm EDT on Tuesday, September 18, 2007.
