The Business Law & Innovation (BLI) Clinic seeks to positively impact the St. Louis region by providing transactional and regulatory representation to innovators, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and tech and social enterprises.
Students provide legal services to BLI Clinic clients on a range of matters in the following areas: entrepreneurship, small business, tech and social enterprise, intellectual property and policy.
Opportunities for students in the BLI Clinic include: representing entrepreneurs, innovators, and business enterprises in a variety of transactional and regulatory matters; structuring business entities and drafting governance documentation; advising entrepreneurs, innovators, and enterprises on intellectual property rights; and providing counseling for businesses entities and entrepreneurs. As part of their work, students have the opportunity to receive certification before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
