LL.M. Programs The School of Law, in conjunction with the Centers for Health Law Studies and International and Comparative Law, offers two LL.M. degrees for those interested in pursuing advanced study in a particular area of law. The LL.M. in Health Law affords students the opportunity to study and perform research under the guidance of the School’s nationally recognized Health Law faculty in a program that has consistently been recognized as the best in the country. Master’s candidates pursue a course of study tailored to their own interests and goals by choosing from a wide spectrum of courses, externships and directed research. The LL.M. program is designed to serve two types of lawyers-those who do not have extensive experience in the practice of health law and those who are currently practicing and wish to increase their exposure to new developments in Health Law and other disciplines. For more information on the LL.M. program in Health Law, visit the Center for Health Law Studies Web site or contact Amy Sanders at (314) 977-8176 (sanderan@SLU.EDU). Program for Foreign Lawyers is a one-year graduate program leading to the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree for lawyers holding a law degree from a university outside the United States. This program provides a select group of highly qualified individuals with the opportunity to pursue studies and research in American, comparative and international law, with a strong focus on the legal system in the United States. The program aims to enrich a student's legal career, whether in legal practice, teaching or scholarship. The main feature of the LL.M. Program for Foreign Lawyers is its attention to the individual needs of its students. The curriculum allows each LL.M. student to design, in cooperation with a faculty adviser, a course of study meeting the student's personal needs and goals. For more information on the LL.M. program for Foreign Lawyers, visit the Center for International and Comparative Law Web site or contact Lisa Thompson-Gibson at (314) 977-2792 (cicl@law.slu.edu).
