What do you like best about the School of Law? The School's ability to be flexible in building a curriculum around students'individual needs.

Favorite class? Constitutional Law

What advice would you give students preparing for their first year? Be flexible.

What does it mean to be a successful student? Don’t fall far behind, yet know how to let things go every once in a while.

Is law school really about using mind over matter? I think law school is really about challenging your desires. People talk about difficulty and limitations, but in the end, you are only as limited as you want to be.

What are the things every prospective student should know about living in St. Louis? There is not that much traffic, which is excellent. Also, it really can be a great place if you find your niche.

What has been your biggest challenge in adjusting to law school, St. Louis, or both? I think it was challenging to adjust to both law school and St. Louis. I come from the Chicago area, but have spent a lot of time in Washington, D.C. I missed the big city and the public transport. But, I was able to find my own small places.

What do you like about the city? St. Louis is really a growing city with a lot of potential.

One cool thing you’ve done: Something that the School of Law has allowed me to do is get a degree in French Law (Masters of Law in European and International Business) in addition to the J.D. I spent the first semester of my third year in Paris, at the University of Paris-Dauphine. I really enjoy Paris, and very few programs offer this kind of an opportunity. The School was really willing to work with me in allowing me to go abroad and still finish my J.D. in three years. I also enjoyed working for the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., last summer. I liked the diversity of the cases as well as the challenge.

Coffee or Tea? Tea.

Favorite books: Atlas Shrugged, Brother's Karamazov, Hamlet

Favorite part of St. Louis? I really like the Central West End. It offers something for everyone.
