Why Law School? Being war refugees from Bosnia, my family always had to deal with some sort of legal matters. First, the asylum matters in Germany, where we lived from 1992 to 1999, and then the immigration process to the United States. That was when I realized that lawyers have the power to help people and really make a difference.

Why Saint Louis University School of Law? I figured why go anywhere else when you can get the best legal education right here at home at Saint Louis University.

Your Best Experience at the School: I guess all entering law students have heard the horror stories of competitiveness in law school. The School isn’t like that. Most of the folks I met here are friendly and try to help each other. Faculty and staff are also very helpful, and that makes the total experience more pleasant.

What Do You Hope to Accomplish with Your Legal Education? I hope to get onto the international playing field. I want to work with diverse groups of people and help with legal advice.

Extracurricular Activities: I am the president of School’s ILSA. I still try to help Bosnian immigrants in the St. Louis area who don't speak English very well in various matters. This can range from their dealings with the government, translations from English to Bosnian and vice versa, to finding a better job.
