Why Saint Louis University School of Law? I chose to go to the School because when I came to visit, I noticed that even though people here are working just as hard as they are at other schools, they are smiling. The health law program is the best in the country, and interaction with faculty here is proof of this fact. The J.D./M.H.A. program catered to everything I was looking for in graduate education.
Your Best Experience at the School: The faculty here is extremely hands on. Every year the Public Interest Law Group holds an auction where many faculty members donate their time and money in order to raise money for law students interested in public internships in the summers. Last year a group of my friends bid on and won a dinner with our Constitutional Law professor, Isaak Dore. He cooked an amazing dinner with many courses that was even topped off with drinks and chocolate roses and cigars. This was an amazing opportunity to not only get to know my classmates better but to have a very unique one-on-one experience with a professor who took his free time to get to know us.
What Do You Hope to Accomplish with Your Legal Education? I hope to pursue a career that involves all of my interests — law, health care and business. The School’s prestige in the health care industry was something I knew would give me the foundation for pursuing all three further.
Extracurricular Interests: SBA Representative, SLU Law Mentor Program Leader, Health Law Association, Faculty Fellow for Center for Health Law Studies, Volunteer with St. Louis Arc.
