I hope to become the most knowledgeable, scholarly individual possible so that I can use my knowledge to benefit others. Law School Snapshot What advice would you give first-year students? Be prepared to read a lot, write a lot and invest a lot of time in studying from the start of the semester. A good semester in law school isn't one big decision, it's a multitude of tiny decisions to study, become well rested and to invest in your academic pursuits on a daily basis. What makes a successful student? Exerting your mental and physical capacities toward the pursuit of knowledge. What are you learning about the law that you didn't anticipate? The law is far more fluid and changing than I had imagined. The law also comes from far more diverse sources than I had ever anticipated. Your best experience at the School of Law: The Moot Court program gave me the opportunity to craft a thorough legal analysis and then the experience of delivering arguments orally in a competitive environment. It's an experience every law student should consider. Spotlight on St. Louis Favorite part of St. Louis? The University because of its architecture. What would you tell a prospective student about living in St. Louis? There are far more things to do in St. Louis than you'll have time for as a law student, so ration your time wisely. |
